Class 2 division 2 exit signs are installed at locations where combustible dust particles are present in the air at such concentratations to become an explosion risk. Division 2 means the condition of the specific area, where dust is an abnormal part of daily operation, such as an accidental spillage. These locations can include feed mills, coal plants and plastic manufacturing facilities.

External Specifications

Class 2 div 2 exit signs are made with die-cast aluminum housings that are fully-gasketed to keep flammable gases from entering the internal circuitry. The 'exit' lettering is protected by a clear shatter-proof polycarbonate lense and all fastening hardware is stainless steel.

Internal Specifications

This exit sign comes in red and green LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) which only consume 5 watts of electricity.
