Overview

The Explosion Proof Remote Head is a hermetically sealed fixture that protects internal components from flammable gas, vapor, and dust. Popular applications for this fixture include manufacturing facilities, processing, plants, oil refineries, and many other industrial facilities that require explosion proof fixtures. Remote heads are wired to centrally located battery packs or remote capable emergency lights, allowing for placement in almost any location regardless of temperature or weather. The Explosion Proof Remote Head reduces maintenance time because it does not require its own battery, it draws all power from the connected fixture. Multiple heads can be wired to the same battery to drastically reduce purchase price.

The Explosion Proof Remote Head can be wall or ceiling mounted to most nonflammable surfaces. If the Explosion Proof Remote Head is paired with a battery pack, the remote head must have the same voltage as the power source. This fixture comes in 6, 12, and 24-volt versions for a variety of applications. Call 800-480-0707 help with voltage drop calculations or choosing the right battery pack.

This fixture is NEC, OSHA, and NEMA certified for the following:
