Application
Made specifically for indoor wash-down locations as well as inclement weather-prone areas. Wet location LED exit signs can be mounted to any non-flammable ceiling or wall surface.
External Specifications
Each New York City exit sign has a UV stabilized, corrosion-resistant fiberglass housing with a shatter-proof polycarbonate lens covering the exit lettering. Lens is gasket-sealed to prevent the intrusion of moisture. Standard color is industrial gray and lettering is 8'' tall with a 1" stroke.
Internal Specifications
An LED (Light Emitting Diode) strip provides ample illumination at all times while consuming only 5 watts of electricity. During a power outage, the exit sign will remain on using it's nickel cadmium battery backup.

Maintenance Profile
OSHA requires NYC exit sign batteries, circuitry and bulbs to be tested once monthly and once a year. These tests are performed via the unit's sealed push-button diagnostic switch.
Lifespan
8-10 year expected lifespan, minus the replaceable Ni-Cad battery.
Options
Internal Battery Heater - For New York's freezing winters, the internal battery heater option will allow the exit sign and battery to operate in temperatures below 32 F. Just specify 120 or 277v AC connection.
Red or Green Lettering - Just note that red is the only approved exit sign color in NYC.
